Foundation Degree Student Completes Website for Local Company
Foundation degree student in Interactive Multimedia Joseph Murphy, successfully produced a website design for a local business, B & B Plumbing.
This project was undertaken in association with the Business support unit as part of the Interact scheme managed by Monica Doran, Monica highlighted that “‘Interact is a programme that offers free support to local businesses with an identified development need, if this need matches curriculum specifications” .
This was integrated into assignment work as part of the curriculum for the Foundation degree in a module Creative Web Design delivered by Jacqueline Toal. Jacqueline stated “It was a great opportunity for Joseph Murphy to develop professional practice skills by working upon an industrial brief to a customer specification for local SME. By undertaking this project Joseph has increased his employability skills and this experience has added benefit and value to his future career”.
Elena Martin from B & B Plumbing was pleased with the final outcome, this assists with marketing the business by creating a web presence, vital in today’s workplace.
